Shop was a multi-disciplinary creative space in Nottingham that housed creative professionals of numerous disciplines. It was many things in its three years of existence including an independent creative store; a gallery/exhibition space; offices and even, on occasion, a small cinema. This website is an archive of selected events held at Shop from 2008 to 2010.
Secret Wars is a worldwide illustration battle network with teams competing all round the world. Illustrators go head to head in 90 minute battles judged by the crowd. This event was hosted by Shop on the 9th October 2010 and coincided with the Oxjam charity music festival.
1st May 2010 saw the launch of Mimm Clothing; their target is exclusive and their motive is music. To coincide with the launch, Shop was taken over by an array of urban music acts and DJ’s followed by an after party at the Bodega Social on Pelham Street.
Nottingham designer and friend of Shop, Guy Brown, is a member the Farm design collective who create witty furniture with a quirky British twist. In November 2009 Guy displayed his latest work in Shop for a fortnight.
On the 3rd October 2009 Shop help an exhibition of dead celebrity artwork in association with a local festival organised by LeftLion Magazine.

On July 5th 2009, Shop held a teddy bears’ picnic with lots of fun, food and music.
In 2009, Shop held the after party for Nottingham’s Breakin’ Convention at the Nottingham Playhouse. Breakers from New York, Korea and Nottingham got together to have a great time albeit some funny looks from the neighbours!
